PANTHERS HIRE NEW HEAD COACH
Mark Joslin Named New Bench Boss

PICKERING, ON:The Pickering Panthers are pleased to announce that Mark Joslin will be their Head Coach for the 2007-08 season.

Mark has been the Assistant Coach of the Aurora Tigers for the last 3 years. This experience culminated with a Royal Bank Championship last year, emblematic of the Canadian Jr. A championsip. He is a life long Richmond Hill resident who began coaching in the Richmond Hill minor system with various teams and had a couple of GTHL experiences. He also manages Joslin elite hockey training where he trains upwards of 30 OHL players and prospects. Mark is currently a scout for the OHL Barrie Colts, as well.

General Manager, Frank Robinson, states that "we were very fortunate to come up with a coach of Mark's capability in such a short period." He also said that Joslin represents 4 values that were important in the search for the Panther Coach: ie. OPJHL experience, a good teacher, a winner, where his Aurora Tiger experience provided that, and last but not least, a good person".

The Panthers will keep the rest of the Coaching staff intact. Assistant Coaches, Mike Heffering and John Walters, will return to their positions.

Mark is beginning his duties immediately where he will meet the staff and players; both the experience ones and the rookies that the Panthers have already committed to.
