PICKERING SIGNS TWO VETERANS
Jeff Broekema & Eamonn Courtney Join Panthers...
PICKERING, ON: Fresh off their 4-3 home opener victory, the Pickering Panthers have added a pair of veterans to bolster their lineup. Jeff Broekema and Eamonn Courtney, both formerly of the Coboug Cougars, will provide veteran experience and leadership to the Panther squad.

Broekema is a 1988 born forward from Belleville, Ontario. He stands 5’7” and weighs in at 175lbs. In 48-games last season Broekema notched 18-goals and 42-points, while collecting 86-PIM. This will be his 4th season in the OPJHL, he currently has 109-points, and is two off 50 career goals.

Courtney is a 1988 born defenceman also from Belleville, Ontario. He stands 6’0” and tips the scales at 190lbs. In 46-games last season he notched 4-goals, recorded 16-points, while collecting only 29-minutes in penalties on the blueline.

The Panthers will have both Broekema and Courtney in the lineup tonight, as they take on the Trenton Hercs at 7:30pm in Pickering.
